Boca-Delray-Boynton Beach Psychotherapy
I am a Board-Certified Clinical Psychologist, and I am Board Certified in Telemental Health. For the past five years I have specialized in video-based psychotherapy. I utilize a state-of-the-art patient portal that combines secure HIPAA compliant messaging, video, and electronic health record (EHR) that is ONC-Certified. I have used this platform for years and have been way ahead of the curve for mental health professionals on utilizing an EHR as well as providing video based telemental health services.
I provide psychotherapy and consultation services to adolescents, and adults. I also provide supervision and treatment services for other professionals. I primarily treat anxiety, mood, stress, and interpersonal problems. Issues related to anxiety, depression, work-life balance, career burnout, retirement and other role transitions, and stuck relationships are common reasons for initiating therapy. As a psychologist, I will work with you to help you meet the challenges that you face. We will work together to help you to learn better coping skills, solve problems, and address issues related to how you think, feel, behave and relate to yourself and others. The therapy process can help you gain clarity about your relationships, change negative interaction cycles, and put into motion new approaches to address old maladaptive habits.
Rather than adopting a “one size fits all” model, my approach is designed to be flexible and responsive to your changing needs. The therapy process is active both on your part and mine. Research on effective clinical practices and my 35+ years of clinical experience will help us decide together what may be helpful to you. Within our relational context I utilize a variety of interpersonal, cognitive behavioral, emotion focused and other transdiagnostic and evidence-based approaches and treatments. Our relationship puts into motion the common factors of instilling hope, creating an expectation that change is possible, providing opportunity for corrective emotional experiences, and both encouraging and facilitating in session focus and practice of new learning.
I strive to create a safe space for my patients to connect emotionally to themselves and to me, fostering a secure attachment, and allowing for safety in taking steps towards meeting their unique challenges. Regardless of the presenting problems, we collaboratively assess, monitor and adjust treatment in a patient directed outcome informed manner. Together we will explore your personal strengths and find solutions that resonate with you. Reach out to me, I’m here to help.
